Pinter’s individual detector is an optical sensor located under the bobbin support cylinders.
The sensor detects the presence of each filament, alerting in case of breakage.

The roving stop is a mechanical device that acts by stopping the roving feed when the filament break detector notes its absence.

The combination of the two devices prevents the production of a yarn without a core, raw material wastage, mechanical problems arising from roll ups and pollution due to the presence of volatile fibres.
