An optical sensor able to see filaments of up to 11 dtex. Signals filament breakage are indicated by means of high-intensity LEDs per section and warning lights at the head and end stocks.

This system improves the quality of core spun yarn, by ensuring the presence of the filament and reducing waste avoiding damages in the drafting components.

Basic components:

• Mobile sensor (1 for each side of the spinning frame).
• Warning lights at the head and end stock.
